Social Action Since 2019

Donna Marie Gowe.

Donna Marie Gowe is a Jamaican humanitarian whose journey began in the humble community of Mountain View, Kingston. Guided by compassion and a deep commitment to service, she has dedicated her life to uplifting vulnerable families across Jamaica - first known for providing food packages, emergency assistance and community support directly from her own home.

Over the years, that grassroots outreach has grown into a powerful movement of generosity known as the Donna Gowe Giveback Program, with a global following affectionately called the Plankanation. Donna’s belief is simple: help “one person at a time.”

Since 2019, she has earned the trust of thousands through transparent stewardship of public donations - fighting poverty, homelessness and educational inequality. Embracing adversity with humour and resilience, she even turned criticism into creativity with her beloved baked-goods line, Nyam Bad Cakes.
